Anhui's first quarter automobile exports nearly doubled

According to customs statistics, in the first quarter, the province exported 40,000 cars, which is an increase of 99% over the same period of last year; it was worth 280 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 1.2 times year-on-year. Among them, 19,000 vehicles were exported to Latin America, an increase of 1.8 times; and 11,000 vehicles were exported to Asia, an increase of 1.3 times.

Chery Automobile has continued to adopt strategies to cope with changes in the international market since its export in 2002, and exports have maintained a continuous growth trend. In March this year, Chery's overseas market sold 11,800 units, not only setting a new high since June 2008, but also achieving a cumulative export of 500,000 vehicles, setting a new milestone in the export of passenger cars in China. JAC has been ranked first in the country in the export of commercial vehicles. With the expansion of the JAC passenger car market, its sales in foreign markets have also skyrocketed. In March of this year, JAC's first batch of JAC's Tongyue Automobile was listed in Brazil. Sales volume has exceeded 5,000 units in less than a month, and it has successfully opened the curtain for large-scale export to Brazil. In the consolidation of the traditional market, Hualing Heavy Truck Co., Ltd. also sold heavy-duty trucks to Uruguay and other countries, and its export volume continued to increase.

The rapid growth of automobile exports in the province also has some unfavorable factors: Argentina's trade protection measures have caused a slight setback in the export of our province; the international situation in North Africa and the Middle East has been unstable, resulting in the failure of our province's export program to be implemented properly; continuing to raise interest rates and the high exchange rate of the RMB. The impact on the low-end auto industry is obvious. The Customs put forward three proposals: promote the settlement of cross-border trade in Renminbi, avoid the risk of exchange rate fluctuations; change the pattern of passive influence caused by partial events; actively use export credit insurance to boost the development of automobile exports.
