Annual production of 50,000 tons of straw polyols in Matsubara

The "300,000 tons straw straw refining production line" supporting project of Songyuanxu Chemical Co., Ltd. - "50,000 tons per year bio-polyether polyol production line" was recently completed and put into production at Bairui Biopolyol Co., Ltd., Songyuan City, Jilin Province. The test run was successful. The production line uses cellulose and lignin produced by Laiwu Chemical “straw refining project” as raw materials, and is based on the State Key Laboratory of Pulp and Paper Engineering of South China University of Technology. The technology developed during the process of the "base polymer new material technology and product" process has been further improved to achieve industrialized production.

It is comparable to similar polyether polyols based on petrochemical feedstocks, but at a lower cost than petroleum-based products. The polyether polyols can be used to produce polyurethane rigid foam products for building, pipe and refrigerator insulation, and can also be used for waterproofing, sealing, and the like. Polyurethane products produced by the technical indicators meet industry standards. Since July of this year, all parties have jointly applied for a number of invention patents on this technology, and will continue to jointly develop new technologies and products with independent intellectual property rights in the future.
The “50,000-ton straw bio-polyol production line” cooperates with Songyuan’s “300,000 tons straw straw refining industrialization production line” to realize the multi-level cyclic high value utilization of straw biomass. The bio-based products produced by this route can be applied to industries such as energy, plastics, materials, and chemical industries, providing a new way for high value utilization of straw resources. The successful production of these production lines marks the initial formation of a new industrial model for the comprehensive utilization of low-cost and high-valued plant biomass.
