It is understood that Daimler is the world's largest manufacturer of commercial vehicles (trucks, buses) and has many well-known brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Maybach, Smart, and AMG. Daimler-Benz paid great attention to the strategic cooperation with Bohai Pistons. The on-site audit of this supplier formed a strong lineup review team of 11 people and conducted a two-day review from December 4th to December 5th.
The audit team conducted a full-process review of Bohai Pistons' company management, project management (supplier management), product R&D, production process, quality management, and logistics management, and provided a clear medium and long-term strategic plan for the Bohai Pistons. , foreign OEM / OES market experience, R & D tools, safe and clean site, advanced automation equipment and the application of EPR system gave a high evaluation. The two sides signed a mold-cost contract on the spot, and Daimler paid 60,000 euros for sample molds in advance, which is very rare in the history of Daimler supplier cooperation.
The Pistons developed by Daimler Pistons for Daimler-Benz are used for Euro V emission engines and are the most advanced and challenging heavy-duty pistons. Prototypes were tested and tested at the end of January 2013. After the passage, it will be mass-produced at the end of 2014, with an annual output of 300,000 units, which will have broad market prospects.
