Cat generator set received orders from Huangpu Wenchong Shipyard

Caterpillar's Cat® C175 and Cat 3512 generator sets have received orders to power the first Zentech R550-D jack-up platform built by Alliance Offshore in China.
It is reported that five Cat C175 generator sets will be the main power of this jack-up platform, with a single rated power of 1833ekW/1200rpm, and another Cat 3512 generator set to provide emergency power.
The new self-elevating platform is being built by Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China CSSC. Caterpillar's power plan is expected to be delivered this summer, and the project was jointly acquired by Caterpillar's Chinese distributor China Engineers Limited and Caterpillar.
