Chery’s overseas production base reaches 16

Chery’s overseas business began in 2001 with the export of 10 autonomous models to Syria. After 10 years, the number of countries and regions selling autonomous models increased to more than 80 in 2011.

In March 2011, Chery Automobile began exporting and selling "A1" (local name: T1) and "Tiger" (local name J11) in Australia. This is Chery's first sales activity in Australia. In August 2011, Chery launched the SUV "Ryue XI" (local name Chery BEAT) in Chile and Peru. This is the first time that SUVs have been put into Latin America.

At present, Chery has 16 production bases overseas, and has the ability to adapt products for different overseas markets. It has built an overseas sales service network covering the markets of major developed countries. The product market covers more than 80 countries and In the region, as of the end of 2011, Chery’s overseas dealer network reached 1,153 and service outlets were 1,188. In the first half of this year, Chery’s exports have reached 92,494 vehicles, an increase of 28.8% year-on-year.
