Guizhou Pingshui Machinery Co., Ltd., affiliated to China Aviation Industry First Group, and China Academy of Agricultural Mechanization Sciences, in 2002, cooperated with the design of “production, study and researchâ€, and 4MZ- developed and produced by Guizhou Pingshui Machinery Co., Ltd. The 5 type cotton picker succeeded and filled the domestic gap, breaking the monopoly of foreign products. In addition to gearboxes, hydraulic pumps and motors, some valves and cylinders, the products are all localized, with a localization rate of over 90%. Guizhou Pingshui Machinery Co., Ltd. has become the exclusive domestic company and the third company in the world to be able to produce large-scale self-propelled cotton pickers.
It is understood that the product is a large (five-row) horizontal pick-up self-propelled cotton picker with a front-mounted picking workbench, a reversing automatic transfer cotton box, and a hydraulic and mechanical hybrid drive with an engine power of 186 kW. Through the comprehensive testing and practical application of the product by the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, the mining rate reached 95.03%, the operating speed was 5.77 km/h, the fuel consumption was 1.7 kg/hr, and the impurity content was less than 10%. The product is expected to form an annual capacity of 100 units in 2006. The 4MZ-5 cotton picker is a “national key new product plan projectâ€.
