The more leakage, the lower the integrity of the cell membrane, the higher the conductivity of the soaking solution and the lower the seed viability. From the standpoint of simplifying the procedure and the experimental cost, the conductance method is simple, convenient and feasible for the determination of the seed vigor of the barley.
To determine the seed quality grading standard, the biological characteristics of the seed must be fully considered based on a large number of experiments, and then graded using mathematical principles. Among the four indicators of grading, the germination rate is the most important because it can directly reflect the seedling emergence rate in the field. Thousand-grain weight can reflect seed plumpness and seed maturity. However, the degree of clarity and moisture are different, and the quality can be improved by reprocessing such as cleaning and drying. However, the germination rate is determined by net seeds, which cannot be separated from the clarity analysis. Therefore, judging grain quality and germination rate as the two main indicators to judge the seed quality is very reasonable, which has a great effect on improving seedling quality and survival rate.
The clarity of the barley seeds is generally about 60%, the purity of the pure seeds is more than 70%, the purity of the seeds without the impurity removal treatment is about 40%, and the clarity of most of the barley seeds is 50%. -60%. Based on the above factors, germination rate and 1000-grain weight were taken as the main indicators of the quality of the barley seeds. The moisture content and the cleanliness of the seeds were the secondary indicators. The quality of barley seeds was divided into three levels.
