At the BMW show in April this year, Mann will bring many unique technology products to the stage. Mann has always been widely praised by the industry and consumers for its excellent product technology and ingenuity from Germany. Its advanced and efficient engine technology has always been at the forefront of the development of the times and has become a well-known benchmark in the industry.
In 2019, Mann's innovative 9-liter D15 Euro 6 engine will replace the tried-and-tested D20 engine on the TGS and TGX series trucks. Compared to previous generation engines, the D15 inline six-cylinder engine has higher power, lighter weight and lower fuel consumption. It is worth mentioning that the engine is lightweight, not only suitable for different operating scenarios, but also increases the payload of the vehicle by about 230 kg. This has sent the gospel to bulk cargo transporters in the fields of fuel, mineral oil and concrete.
The Mann D15 engine is available in 330 hp, 360 hp and 400 hp and is positioned between the high-end 6-cylinder D08 engine (320 hp) and the entry-level D26 engine (430 hp). The engine uses a common rail injection technology with a displacement of 9037ccm, a piston stroke of 145mm, a bore of 115mm and an injection pressure of up to 2500bar. It can work with on-demand controlled auxiliary devices including alternators and air compressors to reduce energy burn.

When the output power is 330hp, the peak torque of the D15 engine is 1600Nm, and the torque per rated power section will increase by 100Nm. At the same time, this engine uses Turbo EVBec braking technology, engine braking power can reach up to 350kW. In addition, since the use of automotive urea is now unrestricted, the Mann D15 engine series currently uses an SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction Technology) exhaust aftertreatment system.
In addition to the D15 engine, Mann's new engine range includes the D08, D26 and D38 models, which will be available in 2019. Among them, the power and torque of the new D26 engine are 10hp and 100Nm higher than the previous generation, and the rated power will reach 430hp, 470hp and 510hp, which will bring users a more efficient experience.
