Mercedes-Benz Truck Launches China Pump Truck Chassis

In response to the ever-changing domestic market of concrete pump trucks and the ever-increasing market demand, Mercedes-Benz Truck recently introduced the Actros 5046 10×4,5 bridge pump truck chassis for the Chinese high-end concrete pump market.

The Mercedes-Benz Actros 5046 pump chassis chassis is based on the chassis of the Mercedes-Benz 4146 8×4 China pump and has undergone a series of modifications based on the special needs of Chinese customers. The new pump chassis is equipped with an OM501LA V6 diesel engine that complies with the National IV emission standard. The rated power is increased to 335 kW (460 hp), and has a maximum torque of 2200 Nm. The maximum speed is 80 km/h (electronic speed limit) ). At the same time, the new pump truck chassis is based on the standard 4 axle chassis, and the rear steering axle has been added to allow the total allowable gross vehicle weight (GVW) of the chassis to reach 54.41 tons. Compared with the standard chassis, the front and rear axle loads increased to 18.54 tons and 26.6 tons, respectively. In addition, the rear axle reduction ratio is increased to 6.0, so that when the vehicle is running at a normal speed, climbing performance is significantly improved. The newly added rear steering axle employs today's world-leading air suspension and hydraulically controlled steering technology. According to customer requirements, the new pump truck chassis can also be equipped with EPS intelligent shift transmission and chassis with full power PTO.

Telligent's intelligent engine management system controls fuel injection timing and duration in real-time and precisely according to the vehicle's driving conditions, in order to achieve the best mixing effect and combustion efficiency, ensuring the engine's strong power and high fuel economy. The system can be used with a standard auto-cruise device to keep the vehicle at a constant speed.

The Actros pump car chassis has a powerful braking system: equipped with high-performance disc brakes, a more efficient anti-lock braking system ABS and anti-slip regulation system ASR. In the event of a short-range high emergency brake, the Telligent intelligent braking system will work, with a shorter and faster brake response time and a braking distance that is approximately 20% shorter than before. At the same time, the ramp parking function makes it impossible to ramp or roll off the ramp.
