Pyrite fired slag and industrial waste heat power generation project passed provincial certification
Hubei Puyang Zedong Chemical Co., Ltd. Both the pyrite calcined slag and the industrial waste heat power generation two projects passed the provincial certification recently and obtained the certification of comprehensive utilization of resources issued by the Provincial Development and Reform Commission.
Pyrite-based acid production uses the contact acid production process, which produces 0.7-0.75 tons of calcined slag per ton of sulphuric acid in the production process. Each year in the production of sulphuric acid, 226,500-300,000 tons of sulphur are produced due to pyrite roasting. The iron ore calcined slag contains about 56% iron. They recycled the pyrite calcined slag, and obtained comprehensive utilization of concentrate concentrate powder of 262,500 to 300,000 tons/year for steel plants as raw materials for steelmaking and cement plants as additives, which enabled the reuse of resources.
