Qilu Petrochemical's new pipe special material fills the domestic blank

Recently, the first batch of 500 tons of new pipe special material QHM22F was developed and produced by Sinopec Qilu Petrochemical. There is no production precedent for this product in China, which fills the gap in the market for similar pipe materials. At present, Qilu Petrochemical has a daily production capacity of 500 tons.

QHM22F is a special material for high temperature resistant polyethylene pipe. It is widely used in construction geothermal heating, metal pipe and other fields. It has the advantages of good connection performance, long service life, good environmental flexibility, etc. The market prospect is promising, in the high-density polyethylene product industry. In general weak conditions, the profitability of such products continues to increase.

Due to the high production technology and high safety risk of the product, there are 200,000 to 300,000 tons of domestic demand each year, all of which are met by imports. "Because of equipment, technology, and other reasons, we have a significant gap with foreign advanced companies in the production of such products," said Sun Haitao, Minister of Production Management of Qilu Petrochemical Plastics Factory.

“The gap is the potential, and tapping the potential is the benefit.” said Li Anxi, assistant general manager of China Petrochemical Corporation and general manager of Qilu Petrochemicals. Qilu Petrochemical combines production practice and follows the management philosophy of “economic operation is the level” to fully promote the development of such products.

The biggest problem they face is that there is no precedent for this special material production technology in China. Qilu Petrochemical held several seminars to carefully arrange new product developments, adopt risk prevention measures, and perform tests on the production staff of production workshops to ensure that the production process is completely secure.

On March 31, new products were successfully produced. After testing, all performance indicators have reached the standards of similar foreign products. Experts believe that this special material, as a polyethylene high-tech product, will become another growth point for corporate profits.
