Foton Motor announced on the evening of the 27th that in the near future, the company has signed a total of 3012 Futian Ouhui LNG (liquefied natural gas) bus products with Beijing Public Transport Holdings (Group) Co., Ltd. and its subsidiary subsidiary Beijing Bafangda Passenger Transport Co., Ltd. The total amount of the contract is more than 3 billion yuan. Under Beijing's hazy pressure, this may be just the beginning of Fukuda's rush to eat a LNG bus feast.
The Foton Motors Bulletin did not disclose the contract amount. However, the Shanghai Daily reporter confirmed from Beijing Bus Group and other channels that this type of bus is priced between RMB 1.2 million and RMB 1.5 million depending on the model and configuration. The total amount of the order is about RMB 3 billion. According to Foton Motor's 2012 operating income of 40.973 billion yuan, the amount of this order is close to 10% of the annual revenue of Foton Motor.
Zheng Hongpu, the director of the Public Transport Administration Department of the Beijing Municipal Transportation Committee Transportation Bureau, told the media in late June that in order to promote bus energy conservation and emission reduction, Beijing intends to promote the advancement of public transport vehicles. This year, Beijing will accelerate the renewal of buses that were put into use in 2004 and 2005, and will strive to add another 3,000 LNG buses by the end of the year. It is foreseeable that this batch of bus orders will soon be gradually confirmed as the annual revenue of Foton Motor.
Related informed sources told reporters that this may be just the beginning of a grand banquet for Foton Motor Bus. Beijing Public Transport Group has a good application base for natural gas buses. According to last year's data, the group's 3,076 buses powered by natural gas have become the world's largest natural gas bus fleet. Wang Jun, deputy director of the Public Transport Department of the Beijing Municipal Transport Committee, said that Beijing is vigorously promoting the energy-saving transformation of public transport vehicles. By 2015, half of the more than 20,000 buses in Beijing will be replaced with clean energy and new energy vehicles. . Zheng Hongpu told the media that the plan he envisaged was “the proportion of gas, oil, and electricity buses is 50%, 40%, and 10%, respectively.†It is expected that Beijing will also increase nearly 10,000 LNG buses.
