Tata Nano Compact Car Reveals Spontaneous Fire Event

Tano's small car, the Nano, a local car manufacturer in India, once again exposed the incident of spontaneous combustion. A few days ago, a Nano car burst into flames as it drove on the main road in Ahmedabad, India.

Jani, the owner of the Nano compact car, said: "My car suddenly caught fire while I was on the way home. The place where the fire was burning was the engine rear part of the car. I purchased this car in May last year."

It is understood that after Tata’s push for Nano, the so-called “world’s cheapest car,” this star model has been plagued by quality problems. In 2010, the car suffered a number of spontaneous combustion accidents. The continuous appearance of spontaneous combustion has caused the public to generally hold negative opinions on models.

In November 2010, the safety performance of the Nano compact car was questioned, causing the car sales to drop dramatically. In the same month, it sold only 509 vehicles, which was a year-on-year drop of 85%. Since then, Tata Motors has taken a series of measures, such as extending the warranty period, so that the sales of the model once picked up.
