On the 25th, the sky in the mud-rock disaster area of Zhouqu, Gansu, cleared. Liu Xiaojun got up early in the morning, rolled up his back and used a vehicle organized by the government to move from a temporary settlement to a new settlement on the west side of the county seat.
This is Liu Xiaojun's third "home" in more than half a month. The second “home†is on the foot of the Miaomiao Mountain in Zhouqu County. This is an emergency temporary resettlement site provided by the government after the mudslide disaster occurred, and the first “home†has been buried by mudslides.
When leaving the temporary resettlement site, Liu Xiaojun stood on the mountain beam and looked at the first "home" under the mountain for a long time. "After all, that's my real home. There are many memories of me," Liu Xiaojun said.
On that day, the disaster-stricken area of Zhouqu mudslides will provide secondary resettlement to the affected people, and some of the homeless people will be resettled in the newly constructed “tent communityâ€.
After the “8·8†Zhouqu torrential flood disaster occurred, some of the affected people were temporarily resettled to the resettlement sites of the county’s No. 1 Middle School, No. 3 Middle School, and Miaomiao Mountain. At these temporary resettlement sites, some sleeping tents, some living in classrooms, and a tent or classroom are often crowded with family members. They cannot cook and are unable to spend the winter.
In order to free up campuses and classrooms and allow students to start school on time, they also provided a better place for the affected people to spend the winter. The local government decided to temporarily requisition 100 acres of Shachuanba, 4.5 kilometers west of Zhouqu County. To build a “tent community†with relatively complete facilities, and place some homeless victims here.
Some 2,000 officers from the Lanzhou Military Region took up this task. From August 20th onwards, they fought 6 days and nights, and finally transformed this piece of farmland into a neat, fully equipped "tent community" and built more than 1,000 cotton tents.
“This is a 'Tent Community' in accordance with the construction of an urban community, with electricity, water, and access roads. The foundation is 0.5 to 3 meters of Qingshizi. There is a bus to the county, supporting public toilets, bathrooms and communities. The health service station and the civilian police room have appointed the community director and plan to build a kindergarten, said Pu Junli, head of a group anti-chemical warfare team in the Lanzhou Military Region.
Zhao Xiaoqin, a neighbor of Liu Xiaojun and a migrant worker before the disaster, told reporters: “The government has done a very fine job and the living facilities in the tent are all available. Even the broom has been sent out. Everything is the same as home.â€
But this made him sadder. Zhao Haoqin, who was killed in the mudslide disaster by his wife and children, said: "I once had a happy home and I can't find it anymore."
In this new "tent community" Liu Xiaojun and Zhao Yiqin chose the tents No. 98 and No. 99, one for the living and the other for the cooking. Originally they could have two more tents, but they gave up. According to the plan formulated by the local civil affairs department, each household can be divided into two tents, and a large population can still apply for three or more tents.
"It's not necessary. The two families have one person left. Everything else is washed away. It's better to live together," said 26-year-old Liu Xiaojun.
The reporter saw in the newly constructed "tent community" that the tent had been connected to electricity and also had outlets. The officers and men from the Lanzhou Military Region were distributing all kinds of living materials to each tent. Li Baoming, a community worker, said that the materials distributed are mainly various kinds of daily necessities, and there are many varieties, including bedding, beds, stoves, televisions, clothes, etc.. In short, the daily necessities, pots and pans are complete, and other materials can be distributed. Open fire and cook.
"I couldn't wait too much and I wanted to eat my own meal." Sang Caixian said that after the mudslide disaster occurred, he spent 300,000 yuan to purchase and refurbish the newly-built commercial housing. It was fortunately a family of six. All escaped. For more than half a month, he mainly eats instant noodles when he lives in a temporary settlement, and occasionally eats a meal at the government's meals.
“The arrangement of the tented community made me very surprised, really detailed, and many details of life have been taken into account. Before I had been guilty about it, I didn’t want to come. I feel right now.†Sang Caixian sighed as she arranged a new home. “If It is not the government and the support of so many kindhearted people. Such a great disaster has occurred. We do not know what kind of hardship it will suffer."
According to Yang Jianguo, director of the Civil Affairs Bureau of Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, the second resettlement mainly involves more than 1,700 people in the original three temporary resettlement sites. The principle of resettlement is to encourage the affected people to try their best to invest in friends and relatives. The subsidy is 200 yuan, tentatively subsidized for 3 months. Those who are indeed homeless will be resettled in "tent community." This "tent community" can house about 500 affected people.
According to Ren Xiuhong, the newly appointed community director of the “Tent Communityâ€, as of 13:00 on the 25th, 110 families and more than 370 disaster-affected people were staying in the “tent communityâ€. At the moment, affected people have come to check in, but they still have to count specific numbers in the future.
Upon seeing the reporter, Li Xingming, who was admitted to the "tent community," was even satisfied. He had already lost his heart and lost his new life: "When the water is back, if my flooded shop and family are still okay, I'm The county town continues to open my shredded shop; if it does not work, I will apply to the government to open up the shredder in the tent community."
"In the city, I sell a bowl of 7 yuan (choppies). Here I sell 6 yuan. Everyone is affected." Li Xingming said with a smile. "My shredded shop is the only hog shop in Zhouqu County and I want to eat cattle and sheep. The shreds have to come to my shop."
For the affected people like Liu Xiaojun who have been buried in mudslides, they will always live in the third “home†of Shachuanba before the reconstruction work is completed in the future.
"After the reconstruction is completed, I will move to the fourth 'home' and hope that will be my permanent home," Liu Xiaojun said.
