Affected by the global financial crisis, some multinational auto companies and parts suppliers, such as Magna International, ArvinMeritor and Delphi, have decided to be absent from the Shanghai auto show in April this year.
According to the reporter’s information, it has been decided that there will be as many as seven parts and components enterprises at the Shanghai Auto Show this year, including Magna International, Arvin Meritor, American Axle Manufacturing, Delphi, GKNPlc., Johnson Controls, and TRW Automotive Group.
Arvin Meritor said in an interview with the media, "We have reduced the number of participating in the world's major trade shows. Shanghai Auto Show is one of the exhibitions we decided to abandon." Delphi Corporation also stated in the statement to the media: " We plan to return to this show in the future."
